Partners

At WWF-Canada, our co-operation with companies is based on a common understanding of environmental issues, shared ambitions or activities, and a willingness to engage the public around conservation. In general, we partner with companies in a variety of ways:

  1. Driving sustainable business practices.
  2. Sponsorship, cause marketing, and licensing.
  3. Philanthropic relationships.

HP Canada is proud to be the Founding Partner of Living Planet @ Work. Since 2011, HP has worked closely with WWF-Canada to provide resources, support and sustainability expertise to green champions across the country. This cross-sector collaboration was critical to transforming this program into what it is today. Learn more by accessing the case study here.

Driving sustainable business practices

Our bilateral partnerships aim to deliver direct conservation results on key issues by aligning organizational business practices and operations with the conservation priorities of WWF-Canada. These conservation priorities are designed to reduce major environmental impacts and achieve conservation results that would not otherwise be possible without this collaboration.

Sponsorships

We have numerous engaging, high profile sponsorship properties at WWF-Canada that can offer our partners visibility with our brand and audience through the support of conservation solutions we work on. Ask us how you can be involved our CN Tower Climb for Nature, the Kid’s Run for Nature and more.

Cause Marketing and Licensing

WWF-Canada partners with businesses to raise awareness about key environmental issues and mobilize employees and customers to take action. These partnerships can include cause marketing campaigns, product licensing, and employee/customer engagement.

Philanthropic relationships

Companies can make a direct impact on environmental projects in Canada by funding our conservation programs through philanthropic giving. Philanthropic relationships with companies fund the expertise and tools required to deliver critical conservation work.

Principles of Engagement

WWF-Canada works with companies to help achieve our conservation goals. NGO and company partnerships involve engaging in constructive dialogue while challenging each other with real issues. As such, these partnerships involve opportunities and risks for both parties. At WWF-Canada, we manage these risks by having clear guidelines and criteria in place, including a due diligence process. In all relationships, we maintain and exercise the right to public commentary.
